One of the most interesting trips in quite some time. We started with a late night drive out to Joshua Tree where we may or may not have had a UFO sighting, so much to have to pull over get out and think about what we saw. Anyhow we got to camp well into the night and where definitely not the last to camp. A very chill night to bring on an adventure packed day. First thing in the morning we went over to Willow Hole. The rock formations in this area are incredible. I also drove out to the look out and viewed Palm Springs from above. We ended the day with going out to Lost Palms Oasis which was interesting to see how just an array of palm trees with nothing else in the immediate surroundings. The following day we ventured a trip down past the Salton Sea and headed to Slab City for the day. The first stop on the way into Slab City was Salvation Mountain. Artists, shrines and other forms of expression covering an entire mountain side. As we arrived a little later into Slab City we ventured and talked to some of the locals and checked out some art. East Jesus is one of the more prominent gatherings of art pieces there. Almost every piece was thought provoking and generally the same theme, "Question Everything." As the sun began to set we started our trek back to Phoenix.
