Box Canyon 2021

A day trip out to a fun off-road trail with the Cactus 4 Wheelers. I organized this trail day and we ended up having about 12 rigs. We all met up in Gold Canyon and convoyed down to the air down spot. Once we air downed, we continued deeper into the slot canyon. Box Canyon gets narrow and tall with just enough room for one vehicle to pass in certain spots. The canyon walls are tall and kept us in the shade for the early part of our ride. Several small obstacles along the way inside the canyon as we twist and turn our way through. The trail finally comes out of the canyon to a big Y in the trail where we opted to run the waterfall route. This obstacle has easy and hard lines. Everyone eventually made it up with no mechanical issues or damage. After everyone cleared the waterfall, we made our way to Ajax mine for lunch. Once everyone was at the base of Ajax, we set up all our awnings and shade structures and enjoyed lunch at the mine. After finishing our food and some exploring around the mine we got back on trail. The rest of the trail is fairly mild and made for a long final push to end. As expected with any C4W trip, there is lots of socializing, lots of cold beverages and great off-roading. Thanks DJ for getting some awesome pictures for all of us.
