Chiricahua National Monument has been on our list for quite some time. This was a weekend trip that was full of long hiking days along with a guided night tour. The rock formations are so fragile looking and have been created through erosion. Balanced Rock, Mushroom Rock and several other make the long hike from the Lookout back to camp totally worth the shuttle ride. Although it was long every time we took a turn or got to a trail marker there was views to be seen in every direction. The campsite was also very well maintained which made it easy to set up and enjoy the time we had.
