The weekend was upon us and I got invited to join some friends at Lake Roosevelt for Veteran's Day. This trip was well worth the drive. A great group of friends, who we camp with often, had a massive group site all to ourselves. Like most camping trips a bonfire and drinks were in order for this chilly night on the lake. The next morning we went out for a little off-roading to explore the immediate surrounding areas which led us to a interesting horse coral and met the rancher as he drove past. After a little wheeling half our of group headed to a nearby trail head. We hiked the Arizona Trail for a few hours and even got to a beautiful lookout point that we could see the east side of Four Peaks. A short water break and we made our way back to camp. The following say was just a relaxing day and headed back to Phoenix. As always I love camping with this group because they are always full of fun and joy.
